Eight Weeks to Build a High-Performing Organisation
The Invest4Impact Talent Accelerator is an intensive eight-week programme designed to help founder teams build the people, organisational structures and management systems required to support sustainable growth.
We understand from experience that many founders spend considerable time developing products, raising finance and attracting customers, yet devote relatively little attention to the organisation that will ultimately deliver on those promises. As enterprises grow, unclear responsibilities, inconsistent recruitment, weak management practices and poorly defined performance expectations quickly become barriers to success.
Moreover, in a competitive job market, it becomes all too easy to lose key talent to competing or large employers.
Working alongside experienced mentors, participants develop the practical organisational frameworks required to recruit effectively, manage performance, develop leaders and build an organisation capable of sustainable growth. By the end of the programme, every participating enterprise will have developed the core talent management tools required to support long-term organisational success.
Before the Programme Begins
The programme begins with a remote orientation session where founder teams meet each other, review the programme structure and receive the templates, reading materials and practical tools that will be used throughout the programme.
Each participating enterprise submits a short description of its organisation, existing team structure and current recruitment challenges so that mentoring can be tailored to its specific circumstances.
Round One: Building the Organisation
The first three days are delivered in person and combine practical workshops with interactive discussion. Each day features group training sessions from 09:00–13:00, followed by recommended afternoon project work. Additional optional Office Hours are available from 15:00–18:00 for one-to-one guidance.
Day One: Organisational Analysis & Talent Mapping
Successful organisations begin with clearly defined responsibilities.
Participants analyse their organisational structure, identify the business functions required to support growth and develop practical organisation charts, functional responsibilities and job descriptions. The emphasis is on designing an organisation that supports execution rather than creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Day Two: Recruitment & Compensation
Building a successful enterprise requires attracting and retaining capable people.
This workshop examines recruitment planning, candidate selection, interviewing techniques, onboarding and remuneration. Participants also develop compensation structures that align with the organisation's growth stage, resources and long-term objectives.
Day Three: Competencies & Performance Standards
The final workshop focuses on defining what successful performance looks like.
Participants develop competency frameworks, job performance standards and practical methods for measuring employee contribution. The objective is to establish clear expectations that support accountability, professional development and organisational consistency.
Individual Mentoring (In Person)
Following the workshops, each enterprise receives two hours of individual mentoring over the next two days. These sessions allow founder teams to review their organisational design, discuss recruitment challenges and refine the documentation developed during the first workshop.
Independent Development (Remote)
During the following weeks, founder teams continue developing their organisational documentation using the templates and guidance provided during the workshops. Participants complete a series of practical assignments while adapting every framework to their own enterprise. The emphasis is on building tangible management tools rather than studying human resources theory.
Remote Review
Approximately halfway through the programme, the cohort meets online to review progress. Each enterprise presents its work, discusses organisational challenges and receives practical feedback from mentors and fellow participants. Additional one-to-one mentoring sessions are provided where required.
Round Two: Building Management Capability
The second in-person workshop focuses on developing the management systems required to support a growing enterprise.
Day Four: Performance Evaluation
Participants learn how to develop practical performance evaluation systems that support continuous improvement, employee engagement and organisational accountability. The workshop covers objective setting, performance indicators, review processes and constructive feedback methods suitable for growing enterprises.
Day Five: Management Development
Successful organisations require capable managers as well as capable employees. This session examines leadership development, delegation, coaching, communication, decision-making and the practical skills required to manage growing teams effectively. Participants also explore succession planning and management development priorities for the next stage of enterprise growth.
Day Six: Final Organisation Review
The programme concludes with a comprehensive review of each participant's organisational framework. Founder teams present their proposed organisational structures, recruitment plans, competency frameworks and management systems, ensuring that all documentation forms a coherent organisational foundation for future growth.
Final Mentoring (In Person)
Each participating enterprise receives a further two hours of individual mentoring to review and finalise its organisational framework and prepare for implementation.
